The yearly Bell County event where youth that are members of 4-H, FFA, or FCCLA come together to compete with eligible projects that they have raised or made for exhibit in the Youth Fair. The Bell County Youth Fair and Livestock Show, Inc. organization comprised of a Board of Directors and General Membership as well as Divisional Committees and Volunteers from the communities in Bell County put on the fair.
At the Fair, participants take care of their projects and exhibit them in the show. If they place high enough in the show they are eligible for the Auction Sale where they can sell their project. Observers and supporters of the fair watch the show competitions, ask questions and learn about various projects, volunteer, or support the youth by buying a lot in the auction or adding-on to a sale participants lot.
For more than 30 years, the Temple Lions Club has provided show participants with a hamburger supper at no cost to the youth. Other service organizations also give the participants drinks, chips, fruit, etc.
